Christmas Bells Jingled: 🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔
Regina arrives like a cold storm, to her home town where she is quick to, and unforgiving in, handing all the residents an eviction notice for Christmas Eve.
Thankfully Regina has a blonde haired vocally gifted angel watching over her, to help thaw her long since frosted heart.

This small town movie involves singing – I mean yes how could it not with Dolly Parton, Christine Baranski and Jenifer Lewis – but it also includes dancing. When I say dancing I don’t mean subtle dance breaks conducive with the narrative, I’m talking split leaps, a circling chorus and I think I saw a stray jazz hand.
Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square is essentially a televised Broadway production. It bares loose similarities to Dicken’s, A Christmas Carol flavoured with the narrative of a country ballad. It’s predictable, it’s vanilla and it throws all kinds of pointed subtext in your face.
It’s a lot. The acting isn’t great and the songs are not catchy – but it’s Dolly Parton, Christine Baranski and Jenifer Lewis… at Christmas!
If you are all about getting into that wholesome family friendly musically filled holiday spirit then Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square will throw up a Christmas dinner right into your mouth – for free.
