Can I just say that if I had an extra two or three days in the month I probably could have done a lot better in some categories… Probably.

MOVIES

I did surprisingly well If I do say so myself. I managed to see a decent amount of movies in cinema as I did chilling at home.

Green Book (Cinema)
Polar (Netflix)
If Beale Street Could Talk (Cinema)
Moonstruck (Netflix)
Miss Congeniality (Sky)
Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (Sky)
The Kid Who Would Be King (Cinema)
Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging (Netflix)
A Quiet Place (Sky)

TELEVISION

I managed to binge five different series this month so I am in fact mighty pleased with myself. And for those of you keeping watch, I am still making my way through my umpteenth Gilmore Girls watch slowly but surely

Started
Cleaning Up – ITV1 [Quit]
New Blood – Netflix [Rewatch]
Baptiste – BBC One
Umbrella Academy – Netflix

Finished
Person of Interest
(Season 5) – Amazon Video
Poldark (Season 3) – Netflix
The Dragon Prince (Season 2) – Netflix
Poldark (Season 4) – Sky
Flack – Sky

Ongoing
Gilmore Girls (Season 3) – Netflix
Grey’s Anatomy (Season 15) – Sky
Carmen Sandiego – Netflix
Les Mis – BBC One

My favourite of the month was… The Dragon Prince. I’ve chosen this instead of Green Book, because I feel like the second series was a stark improvement from the first. This could be because I wasn’t comparing it as much to The Last Airbender and so I allowed myself to see the show for what it was in its own right, and through this found myself really enjoying it – and already anticipating a third series (fingers crossed).

Over on Letterboxd I write a few lines in review for every movie, not just the ones I see in cinema if you want to check those out.

BOOKS

Least you forget I happen to also be an avid reader, but this month avid was a gross overstatement as I only managed to get through half of my intended reads. February was meant to be a Catch-up month of sorts but I barely made a dent in the books I’m behind in.

If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin
A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
Romanov by Nadine Brande

My favourite novel of the month was A Man Called Ove. It was simple, unexpected and sweet – what more could you need?

Check out my Goodreads for reviews and such.

  1. A Man Called Ove is a wonderful book – sadly the film wasn’t as good as it seemed to lose it’s pacing whereas the book kept you completely involved!! One of my all time favs for sure.. 🙂

    1. That’s good to know about the film. I’ll put off watching it so I can continue to savour how great the book was 😊

  2. Can’t wait to read your thoughts on The Umbrella Academy. I finished watching yesterday and I’m so excited 😀
