The long days of Summer have faded and Fall has fully set in. If you’re expecting a long list similar to the one in my August Wrap-Up… Yeah… No.
Superman: Doomsday (Sky)

Garage Sale Mystery: Picture a Murder (Sky)
Like Father (Netflix)
Crazy Rich Asians (Cinema)
Gone Girl (Sky)
A Simple Favor (Cinema)
A Star is Born (1976) (Sky)
This list looks bad too, but honestly it’s not – the majority of these shows I was watching to time. I could have done better, but trust me, it could have been much much worse.

For the People
My favourite of the month was hmm…. I think I’ll go with; A Simple Favor. It was surprising, crass and dark. It was fun, mysterious, and Black Lively was finally redeemed in my eyes, as I was still holding on to some distaste from her days playing Serena Van der Woodsen.
Over on Letterboxd I write a few lines in review for every movie, not just the ones I see in cinema if you want to check those out.
Least you forget I happen to also be an avid reader, and this month I was focused on Re-reads. It’s nice giving yourself a chance to go back to the books you loved, so many are being released from month to month that if you’re not careful you’ll only have time to enjoy something once.
Northern Lights by Phillip Pullman
Fearless by Francine Pascal
Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman
Callum by Malorie Blackman
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
The Subtle Knife by Phillip Pullman
The Amber Spyglass by Phillip Pullman
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K Rowling
My favourite re-read this month was Fearless by Francine Pascal. The novel focuses on 17 year old Gaia who was born without the fear gene. Her father, a former CIA agent taught her how to protect herself as without fear she is unconsciously reckless. These books – you don’t understand how I feasted on them when I was younger. They are only 200 pages and within the 34 books the series spans so much unexpected events happen.
Check out my Goodreads for reviews and such.
Roll on October.
