I had a pretty average month across the board, especially considering how poorly I did in April. Either way, without further procrastination…

I didn’t get time to do a movie a day for the month of May *cough* because I completely forgot *cough* but here’s what I did end up watching.

The Truman Show (Sky)
Anon (Cinema/Sky)
Annihilation (Netflix)
Deadpool 2 (Cinema)
Fahrenheit 451 (Sky)
Fallen (Netflix)

I made great progress catching up on a number of shows I had previously half-started. This included me watching the entire 13 Episode second half of Riverdale Season 2 in one day. Go me.

New Shows
Bulletproof
A Very English Scandal
Humans (Season Three)

Completed Shows
Dear White People (Season Two)
Master of None
Scrubs
Grey’s Anatomy (Season Thirteen)
The Flash (Season Four)
Riverdale (Season Two)
The Split
Poldark (Season Two)

Ongoing Shows
Castle (Season Four)
Person of Interest (Season Three)
Adventure Time (Season Ten)

My favourite of the month was….. The Split. It was honestly between this and A Very British Scandal, as the movies this month didn’t really stand out. It was a surprisingly delightful show and it was pretty darn unique as far as British television standards go.

Over on Letterboxd I write a few lines in review for every movie, not just the ones I see in cinema if you want to check those out.

Least you forget I happen to also be an avid reader, and this month my theme was Stand Alone’s. I admit I may have accidentally cheated as some ended up being the first in a series.

The Valiant by Lesley Livingston
Night Train by Martin Amis
The Final Solution by Michael Chabon
Here Lies Daniel Tate by Cristin Terrill
The Party by Elizabeth Day
A Madness so Discreet by Mindy McGinnis
Eve of Man by Giovanna and Tom Fletcher
Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
The Bouncer by David Gordon

My favourite novel for the month has got to be…. Eve of Man by Giovanna and Tom Fletcher. Set in a dystopian future where Eve is the only girl to be born after a fifty year drought. Men have destroyed the earth but Eve is their future. Unfortunately the savior of man may need rescuing from those sworn to protect her.

  1. I definitely want to watch Fahrenheit 451. It seems really interesting. Since it’s a book adaptation I’m going to read the book then watch the film. Was it any good?

I love Riverdale! Season One was incredibly good. I liked Season Two, although not quite as much as the first season. Season One was nearly perfect. Either way, still a great series!

    1. Agreed the first series was more interesting than the first of Riverdale.
Personally Fahrenheit 451 wasn’t to my taste, the book or the movie. Let me know what you think when you get around to reading it!

      1. Will do. I’m the most indecisive person when it comes to actually picking what book to read next, but Fahrenheit 451 is definitely a book I’m going to try and plan on reading over the summer at some point.
