Released on Friday the 13th this Home Alone horror twist tells us that when the babysitter says sleep; you sleep – or else you might just find yourself being hunted by a murderous group of hot teens… Swings and Roundabouts.

Overall the plot; what does your babysitter get up to once you’ve gone to bed, was pretty standard but he whole secret devil worshipping murderess angle was pretty dope. Yes there were a number of large gaping holes like; why were they performing a murder ritual in the living room without he curtains drawn? (seriously anyone walking past would have had a front row seat), and how did they intended to explain away all the murders?… and oh yeah – why the hell did that dude have his shirt off?! But as the movie didn’t take itself to seriously then I followed suit and just enjoyed the ride.

They cast the movie really well, Cole (Judah Lewis) who looked like a mini Zac Efron, was great as the nervous little geek, though a little unbelievable at times as he had that whole underneath I’m actually hot, but right now I have to look like a nerd until my makeover thing about him, but he and Bee (Samara Weaving) bounced really well off of one another and made me wish I’d had a babysitter just like her…. Well not just like her, but you get my point.

Shout out to twenty-nine year old Robbie Amell who is still marginally getting away with playing a kid in highschool…. (If it ain’t broke, right?) as well as Bella Thorne (Famous in Love), Hana Mae Lee (Pitch Perfect) and Emily Alyn Lind (Revenge) for their roles.

This movie was a straight up hour and a half and so before you knew it, it was over without so much as a lag or drag to make you stop and check how much time you had left which automatically gives it a nod in my book.

A nice little horror-esque movie that hit all the right notes. More fun than scary and a surprising delight.

My husband watched this last night and he liked it. He’s into B level scary movies with little hype. I would suggest, if you like Bella Throne, check out You Get Me. It’s another Netflix movie and it would also be perfect for Halloween. She plays a crazy psycho stalker and she does it well. Lol

    1. You Get Me is on the watch list, though it’s a little spooky how well those roles suit Bella Thorne!
