So for those of you who didn’t know, November happens to be National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for the indoctrinated) where the aim is to write 50,000 words of a novel and the prize is a printable certificate and the satisfying warmth of a job well done.
Why am I giving you this non TV/Movie related information?
Because I have so little to wrap up this month because of NaNoWriMo and this intro will help take up space. No I am not making excuses for myself but yes I am making excuses for myself.
The movies I watched across the board this month….
Thor: Ragnarok (Cinema)
Murder on the Orient Express (Cinema)
Before Midnight (Netflix)
Justice League (Cinema)
She’s Gotta Have It (Netflix)
TV didn’t fare as well either. I managed to binge watch series 3 of Our Girl literally today – the last day of the month – and that’s about it.
Actually I lie. Embarrassingly I re-watched Beyblade: V Force, (for reasons that still elude me) after I stumbled across it on YouTube.
I still need to finish Dynasty and Teen Wolf and the list of shows I need to start is taller than me.
(Ongoing: Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal which have now both gone on a mid-season break)
My favourite movie of the month was a toss up between Thor: Ragnarok and Before Midnight, and they’re both so incomparable that I can’t choose one so I’m choosing both. Thor:Ragnarok was fun and refreshing and Before Midnight was well written and thought provoking.
I have a lot of catching up to do, so don’t worry next month will be choker-block with movies and TV shows and I for one cannot wait.
Over on Letterboxd I write a few lines in review for every movie, not just the ones I post on here if you want to check those out.
Sidenote: I also read 11 books this month which you can check out on my Goodreads for reviews and such.
Roll on Christmas December.
